On Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at approximately 4:24 p.m., the Tippecanoe County Coroner's Office was notified of a motorcycle crash at the intersection of US Highway 231 South and Veterans Memorial Parkway, Lafayette, Indiana. One individual was transported to IU Health Arnett Hospital, where she was later pronounced deceased. The deceased has been identified as Ashley Ray, 21, from Lafayette, Indiana.

On Thursday, June 11, 2026, a forensic autopsy was conducted at the Tippecanoe County Coroner's Office.

Preliminary findings are as follows:
Ashley Ray
• Preliminary Cause of Death: Multiple Blunt Force Injuries due to Motorcycle Crash
• Toxicology: Pending (results may take approximately 6-8 weeks)
• Preliminary Manner of Death: Accident

This is an ongoing investigation with the Tippecanoe County Sheriffs Office and the Tippecanoe County Coroner's Office.

Death Investigation - Lafayette, Indiana

On Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at approximately 4:24 p.m., the Tippecanoe County Coroner's Office was notified of a motorcycle crash at the intersection of US Highway 231 South and Veterans Memorial Parkway, Lafayette, Indiana. One individual was transported to IU Health Arnett Hospital, where she was later pronounced deceased.

On Monday, May 25, 2026, at approximately 11:30 a.m., the Tippecanoe County Coroner’s Office was notified of a motorcycle crash on I-65 near the 164 mile marker, Lafayette, Indiana. One individual was pronounced deceased on scene, a male, believed to be in his 70s.

The Tippecanoe County Coroner’s Office is working on legal positive identification of the deceased.

On Tuesday, May 26, 2026, a forensic autopsy was conducted at the Tippecanoe County Coroner’s Office. Preliminary findings are as follows:

One individual was pronounced deceased on scene. The decedent has been positively identified as Justin Hurd, 32, from Wingate, Indiana.

The decedent has been positively identified as Cameron Sible, 22, from Burr Ridge, Illinois.

On Friday, May 15, 2026, at approximately 7:05 a.m., the Tippecanoe County Coroner’s Office responded to the 2500 block of Schuyler Avenue in Lafayette, Indiana, regarding a report of a deceased male. Upon arrival, the Deputy Coroner observed signs of life and immediately notified medical personnel already on scene that the individual required urgent medical attention. The individual was then transported to IU Health Arnett Hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased at 10:50 a.m.

The decedent has been positively identified as Austin Clingerman, 27, of West Lafayette, Indiana.

A forensic autopsy is being scheduled and will be conducted next week at the Tippecanoe County Coroner’s Office.

This investigation remains ongoing in coordination with the Tippecanoe County Sheriff’s Office and the Tippecanoe County Coroner’s Office.
