We continue highlighting the dedicated members of Marshal Reggie Thomas’ team.

Today we recognize Deputy Joseph Caillet, who brings over three decades of law enforcement experience to the Lafayette City Marshal’s Office. As a Field Training Officer, he plays an important role in mentoring and guiding younger deputies.

Outside of work, he enjoys hunting, fishing, cooking, and traveling, making the most of his time with family and the outdoors.

Fun fact: before entering law enforcement, he worked at KLFY TV-10 as a production assistant and cameraman.

Marshal Reggie Thomas is redefining what law enforcement looks like in our community.

By breaking stereotypes, building trust, and investing directly in young people, the Leadership Challenge is helping create a new generation that sees law enforcement not just as authority, but as mentorship, leadership, and opportunity.
