What's for lunch this week at La Cuisine de Maman in Vermilionville? Glad you asked, you wanna get here -- especially for Sunday's BBQ Buffet! All plate lunches come with cup of gumbo or salad, homemade buttermilk biscuit, side dish, dessert & beverage, $14.95, Seafood Fridays $15.95. Sundays are buffet only, with two entrees, a host of side dishes, gumbo, salad, biscuits & bread pudding, all you can eat, $17.95. Any day you come, it's gonna be delicious! Have lunch with us this week, if you can't get here, do the DoorDash! (DoorDash not applicable for buffet...) ✔️

The Bayou Vermilion District (BVD) wants to know how you think we can improve the quality of life in Lafayette Parish by keeping the Bayou Vermilion beautiful and accessible, while preserving and activating our beloved culture.
Join us for an open house May 13 4:30-7:30 at Vermilionville to guide our organization’s refreshed vision and shape BVD’s priorities. Explore the open house at your own pace and participate in interactive activities to provide input on the details of the plan. We’ll also share what we’ve learned so far from our survey, focus groups, and desktop research. The result will be a Master Plan driven by you, for you.

Our river crew works every day to keep the Vermilion pristine and navigable. Sometimes that's hauling trash, sometimes trees, sometimes tires (76, just last year!) and sometimes, it's a boat, abandoned and rotting. We recovered it, Wildlife and Fisheries located and notified the owner and it will be picked up and disposed of this week. We're dedicated to doing anything we can to make the river safe for you.
