💜 Proud to be Purple: Celebrating Fairfax Elementary!

We are thrilled to share some incredible news from last night’s Board of Education meeting! Fairfax Elementary was officially recognized and honored for earning the prestigious Alabama Purple Star School designation.

What does it mean to be a Purple Star School?
This honor is awarded to schools that demonstrate a high level of commitment to students and families connected to our nation’s military. Because military families face unique challenges—like frequent moves and deployments—the Purple Star program ensures that schools have the resources and support systems in place to make those transitions as smooth as possible.

Why we are celebrating:
Dedicated Support: Fairfax has gone above and beyond to create a welcoming environment for our military-connected students.

Community Strength: This designation highlights the school’s leadership in fostering a culture of pride, transition support, and patriotism.

Commitment to Excellence: Being one of the few schools in Alabama to earn this title reflects the hard work of the faculty, staff, and students.

"Our military families give so much to our country. It is our absolute honor to ensure their children feel at home, supported, and celebrated here at Fairfax."

Help us congratulate the administration, teachers, and students of Fairfax Elementary for this outstanding achievement. We are so proud to have a Purple Star shining bright in our district! 🌟

🎓 Double the Success at Valley High! 🎓

We have some incredible news to share! Join us in giving a massive round of applause to two of our very own Valley High School seniors who have achieved something truly extraordinary. 🌟

Sophia Taft (right) and Katelyn Jackson (left)

Before they even walk across the stage to receive their high school diplomas, these two scholars have already graduated from Southern Union State Community College with their Associate’s Degrees! 📜✨

Why This is a Big Deal:
Completing a college degree while simultaneously navigating the demands of high school is incredibly rare and requires a level of discipline, focus, and grit that is beyond impressive. These students have been balancing:

College-level coursework alongside high school requirements.

The transition between two different campuses and academic expectations.

Countless hours of studying, late nights, and true dedication to their futures.

A Bright Future Ahead
By earning their Associate’s degrees early, these trailblazers are entering the next chapter of their lives with two years of college already under their belts. Whether they head straight into the workforce or transfer to a university, they’ve already proven they can handle whatever comes their way.

Congratulations to our dual-enrollment superstars! You have made your families, your school, and the entire community so proud. 🧡💙

🌸 Honoring the Hearts of Chambers County Schools 🌸

This Mother’s Day, we want to share a special message of gratitude to the incredible women who make our district feel like home.

In Chambers County Schools, we are uniquely blessed by women who wear many hats. Whether you are teaching in our classrooms, serving in our front offices, supporting our operations, or entrusting us with your children’s education as a CCSD parent, you are the heartbeat of our community.

To the Moms Who Do It All:

🔸Our Staff Moms: Thank you for the countless hours you spend nurturing our students’ minds and then heading home to nurture your own. Your dedication to the children of Chambers County is unmatched.

🔸Our Parent Moms: Thank you for your partnership, your late-night homework help, and for choosing CCS for your family. We are honored to help your children grow.

🔸The "School Moms": To the mentors and staff who treat every student like their own—your kindness creates a safe haven for our learners every single day.

"Behind every successful student is a mother who believed in them first."

Today, we celebrate your strength, your patience, and your unwavering love. We hope your day is filled with the same joy you bring to our hallways!

Happy Mother’s Day from the Chambers County Schools Family! 💐

🛡️ IMPORTANT SAFETY UPDATE: Student Data Security

We are aware of recent news regarding a significant data breach involving Canvas, a third-party learning management system used by many schools and universities across the country.

We want to reassure our parents, students, and staff that the Chambers County School System does not use Canvas.

Because our district does not utilize this platform:

🔹No student data from our schools was included in this breach.

🔹No personal information (names, emails, or IDs) was compromised.

🔹Our systems remain secure and unaffected by this specific incident.

The safety and privacy of our students' information is our top priority. We will continue to monitor the situation and maintain our commitment to robust cybersecurity for our entire school community.

Thank you for your continued support!
