Today, staff and participants rolled up their sleeves and worked side-by-side to give TCCC a little Reset & Refresh!

From yard work to cleaning inside the facility, everyone pitched in to help create a space that is clean, welcoming, and cared for.

More than just cleaning, today was about teamwork, connection, accountability, and taking pride in the space we share.

A little teamwork goes a long way!

Tippecanoe County Community Corrections staff had the opportunity to speak with– Architecture, Design, Construction Techniques, and Society students at Purdue University.

This semester, 30 students are exploring how design can support de-escalation and emotional self-regulation in a correctional setting.

Our staff shared real-world insight about our facility and how the environment can play an important role in helping individuals make positive choices.

We’re excited to see what the students come up with and grateful for the opportunity to share our experience with the next generation of designers!

Last night our participants had the opportunity to volunteer at the Overdose Remembrance and Awareness Event hosted by the Drug-Free Coalition of Tippecanoe County

They helped support an important event focused on remembering loved ones, raising awareness, and promoting hope and healing throughout our community.

A special thank you to the Drug-Free Coalition of Tippecanoe County for allowing our participants to volunteer and be part of such a meaningful event.

Last week, our participants rolled up their sleeves and got to work helping the Lafayette Fire Department with hose testing! 🚒💪

They spent their time moving and testing heavy hoses, working through the summer heat, and helping wherever they were needed. And if you’ve ever handled a fire hose, you know they aren’t exactly light!

A huge thank you to the Lafayette Fire Department for giving our participants this opportunity! We appreciate you allowing us to work alongside your team, get some hands-on experience, and give back to our community.
