What an incredible day of community partnership, teamwork, and giving back! 🚴‍♂️🚔💙

Today, the Whitemarsh Township Police Department proudly partnered with AIM Academy, the AIM Mountain Bike Team, Girls in Gear, and many amazing community supporters for our Community Unity Ride & Bike Donation Event.

Police officers, students, educators, and community members rode together from Spring Mill to AIM Academy to celebrate the donation of refurbished bicycles to Girls in Gear — helping provide opportunities, confidence, and new experiences for young riders in our community.

A special thank you to:
• AIM Academy students and staff for their hard work repairing and restoring the donated bikes
• Jeff Fetterman and the team at Sam’s Place
• The Whitemarsh Police Officers Benevolent Association for their generous support
• Girls in Gear for the incredible work they do empowering youth through cycling
• All of the officers, volunteers, parents, and community members who made this event possible

This event truly showcased what community policing is all about — building relationships, mentoring youth, and making a positive impact together.

We are proud to have been part of such a meaningful and successful event! 🚲👏

This National Police Week, we want to take a moment to recognize and thank the dedicated officers of the Whitemarsh Township Police Department for their service, professionalism, and partnership. 🚔💙

We are incredibly lucky to work alongside such a supportive department that is always ready to answer the call and serve our community with compassion and commitment.

To show a small token of our appreciation, we stopped by with some pretzels for the officers today. 🥨 Thank you for everything you do — not just this week, but every single day.

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of John “Jack” Fields, a 38-year life member of the Spring Mill Fire Company.

Jack dedicated nearly four decades of his life to serving our organization and our community. Beginning as a Junior Firefighter, he rose through the ranks with commitment and pride, ultimately serving as Deputy Chief and a valued member of our Board of Directors. Beyond the firehouse, Jack’s service to the community continued through Whitemarsh Township Public Works, where he began his career as a mechanic and worked his way up to become the Director of Public Works. His impact on this community extends far beyond what words can fully capture.

Jack was taken from us far too soon. He will be remembered for his dedication, his work ethic, and his unwavering commitment to helping others. Most importantly, he will be missed by all who had the privilege to serve alongside him and call him a friend.

Services will be held privately.

In honor of Jack’s lifelong dedication to public service, a memorial scholarship has been established. We encourage those who wish to recognize his legacy to consider contributing:

Please keep Jack’s family, friends, and our entire fire company in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Rest easy, Jack. Thank you for your service. 🚒
