Older, intact male, appears to be a Lab/Pit mix. Brought in after being found around the railroad tracks crossing through Hwy 27 (the ones near Dollar General) in the City of Ladysmith. No ID/Microchip, is wearing an old white flea/tick collar. If you know where he belongs, please message us or call the shelter at 715-532-2637.

UPDATE: His family got ahold of us! He's an elderly fella & it shows but he is regularly seen by his vet & will be getting a nice clean up after this 24 hr misadventure of his. Damien's mom would like to extend the biggest thank you to the kind samaritan who found and brought him in. ❤

FOUND DOG

This poor guy was brought in from the intersection of Riverside Circle & Phillips Ave E in the City of Ladysmith early this morning. Appears to be a neutered male, senior, Yorkie. Big & friendly, neutered male, Hound dog brought in early this morning after being found wondering around the intersection of Old Hwy J & Bissel Grade Rd in Winter, just a bit north from the Rusk/Sawyer Co. lines. TODAY'S STRAY INTAKES - 9/3/2026

DOG 1: Border Collie (possibly a mix as he is quite small), intact male, adult, friendly guy. No collar/ID/microchip. Brought in late last night from Cty I near the Flambeau School in Tony (Grow Township).

UPDATE: We are in touch with Buster's owner! - DOG 2: Large mixed breed (guessing maybe Shepherd/Retriever?), intact male, adult, also a friendly guy. Wearing orange collar, no ID/microchip. Brought in this afternoon from Bryant Rd in Bruce (Thornapple Township).

CAT 1: Intact female, adult, black with white locket. No collar/ID/microchip. Very sweet & talkative. Brought in last night from 101 Trail in Ladysmith (Thornapple Township). While she has nursed kittens sometime this summer, her mammaries are not producing milk & are not swollen in person! She likely has not had to nurse for some time and just hasn't grown the fur back yet.

CAT 2: Young (16ish weeks old), intact male, orange tabby kitten. He was found this morning in the ditch across the street from our shelter located on Doughty Rd (City of Ladysmith) by shelter staff. Very, very affectionate! No collar/ID/microchip.

"We are very worried and heartbroken our sweet girl has been missing since Friday afternoon. Her name is Doris, shes a 3 year old basset who ran away from home which is very unlike her. She was wearing a purple collar at the time, she's timid to knew people but very friendly when she warms up to them. She went missing from the jump river area near highway 73 and county V. If anyone has any leads on her please let me know!"
