🎉 Celebrating 30 Years of Service! 🎉

Today, we are proud to recognize Shelly for an incredible milestone—30 years of service to the City of Ladue.

Shelly began her career with the City on May 21, 1996, a date that is especially meaningful as it is also her wedding anniversary. Over the past three decades, she has served in numerous capacities across multiple departments and currently serves as our Finance and Human Resource Specialist.

In a world of constant change, Shelly has been one of Ladue’s constants. Her dedication, professionalism, and commitment to serving our residents have made a lasting impact on our organization and community. With a wealth of institutional knowledge and a willingness to help wherever needed, she is someone we rely on every single day.

Thank you, Shelly, for your 30 years of service, leadership, and unwavering dedication to the City of Ladue. We are grateful for all you have done and continue to do.

Early this morning, Ladue Police officers rescued a newborn fawn after its mother was struck by a vehicle shortly after giving birth.

Officers kept the fawn safe and comfortable until it could be transported to a sanctuary, where it will receive the specialized care it needs.

Thank you to our officers for their compassion and to the sanctuary for giving this little one a second chance. ❤️

As a reminder, this is peak fawning season, and deer activity is especially high. Please drive carefully and stay alert, particularly during early morning and evening hours.

Today, we remember and honor former Ladue Mayor Jean Quenon, who passed away peacefully on May 4, 2026, at the age of 95, surrounded by her children and grandchildren.

Jean served as Mayor of the City of Ladue from 1995 to 2003, leading our community with intelligence, grace, humor, and unwavering dedication. She often credited her success as “Madam Mayor” to the outstanding City Council, staff, police, and fire personnel she worked alongside — a reflection of her humility and deep appreciation for public service.

We extend our deepest condolences to Mayor Quenon's family and loved ones during this difficult time. Her contributions to the City of Ladue and the example she set through her life of service will not be forgotten.
