We would like to give a shout out to Comcast for their continued support to Veterans and their Families in our community. Comcast has donated four computer systems to replace our old computers in the Lacey Veterans Services Hub tele-health rooms. Their commitment will help Veterans receive the healthcare and employment services needed to improve their quality of life.

The Cities of Lacey, Olympia, Tumwater and Yelm are working with a consultant, Uncommon Bridges, to spread the word about a survey opportunity for community members to share their experiences and ideas on housing displacement. Input will be used to inform policy recommendations for the Cities’ Comprehensive Plan updates (now in process). Survey participants can receive a $25 gift card for completing the survey. The survey will be open until January 15th, 2025.

For more information or to take the survey use this link, https://sites.google.com/unc.../displacementvideosurvey/home or the QR code on the attached flyers
We’d appreciate if you can help share this information with anyone you feel would be interested in contributing insights gained from personal experience in order to help the City of Lacey with effective and equitable housing strategies and to inform our planning efforts. The flyers above are in English and Spanish, please contact Jennifer Adams (Housing coordinator) if you need additional accommodations to complete the survey.

The City thanks you for your participation!

📢 The Thurston County Food Bank is recruiting more volunteers to support our three Thanksgiving distribution days, November 25–27! These are the biggest days of the year for us here at TCFB and we have multiple volunteer shifts and tasks available in both Olympia and Lacey. (Please note that our Lacey service will be held on the Saint Martin's University campus this year.)

New volunteers will need to submit a volunteer application before signing up for a shift. (Youths aged 12 and older are welcome and must be accompanied by an adult.)
Sign up to volunteer at the link below and THANK YOU for supporting our work!
