Congratulations to our medical director! So very fitting as she selflessly guides our highest level of prehospital care!

Friday, November, 14th Dr. Tara Mertz-Hack was awarded "Family Physician of the Year" award at the North Dakota Academy of Family Physicians (NDAFP) annual meeting in Grand Forks. The award is given annually to a physician who demonstrates excellence in the practice of family medicine. The award recognizes a physician as a role model for their peers, based on high standards and consistent achievement.

Congratulations again, we are certainly proud of you, and this was well deserved!

🚑💗A "stork pin" in EMS stands for a stork award, which recognizes emergency medical personnel and 911 dispatchers for assisting in a birth outside of a hospital. The pin symbolizes the successful delivery of a newborn in the field.
Recently, 3 of our squad members had the honor to help safely welcome a sweet little babe, Raina. 💗🚑

Community Volunteer EMS of LaMoure is offering a 30-minute training on Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) on Wednesday, Sept. 24 at 5:15 p.m. at the Emergency Response Center.

An AED is a simple, portable device that can save a life during sudden cardiac arrest by restoring a normal heart rhythm. No medical experience needed — open to all ages!
