On Tuesday, May 26th, the LaGrange County Sheriff's Office along with Parkview LaGrange, Shipshewana Volunteer Fire Department, Lagrange County REMC & LaGrange Co. Prosecutor's Office visited 4th graders at Shipshewana-Scott Elementary.

Throughout the morning, students learned about 911 Safety, Bike Safety, Internet Safety/Stranger Danger, Water Safety, CCR & Choking, Fire Safety, First Aid/Poison and watched an electrical safety demonstration.

Thank you, Shipshewana-Scott Elementary for allowing us to spend the day with your 4th graders!

They are calling and claiming a payment of $1,200 or more is required before a loved one can be released on electronic monitoring, work release, or bond. They may sound official and use inmate details to seem credible.

The LaGrange County Sheriff's Office will never call you to demand payment for an inmate's release.
