Drew Depenbrock (center), a LaSalle-Peru Township High School senior, received the Deb Pyszka Memorial Scholarship, presented by the Pyszka family. This $500 scholarship was established to honor Deb Pyszka who was an IVCH nurse for 39 years. Throughout her career, she consistently carried a passion and love of nursing. The scholarship is awarded to a graduating senior with a 3.5 GPA or higher and be pursuing a registered nursing degree.

Claire Boudreau (left) and Kiely Domyancich (right), both LaSalle-Peru Township High School seniors, received the James A. Swanson Memorial Scholarship. These $250 scholarships were established in memory of James “Big Jim” Swanson, a high school football player and wrestler, who went on to become a powerlifter, holding many state and national rankings. Big Jim believed in hard work - both academically and athletically. The scholarships are awarded to graduating seniors who were four-year participants in softball, volleyball, wrestling, football, or baseball, have a GPA of 3.0 or higher, and be planning to continue their athletic and academic careers in college.
