Today, members of Scioto Valley Fire District had the honor of attending the Memorial Day Ceremony at La Rue Cemetery as we joined our community in remembering and honoring the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

Memorial Day serves as a reminder that freedom comes at a cost, and today we reflected on the courage, dedication, and selflessness of those who gave everything for our nation. We are grateful for the opportunity to stand alongside veterans, families, and community members to pay tribute to our fallen heroes.

A special thank you to Chad Grote for capturing these amazing aerial photographs and helping preserve this meaningful day of remembrance.

Today we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Memorial Day is more than a long weekend — it is a time to reflect on the sacrifices made to protect the freedoms we enjoy every day.

We remember those who never made it home, and we keep their families, friends, and fellow service members in our thoughts.

Their sacrifice will never be forgotten.

🇺🇸 Forever in our hearts. Never forgotten. 🇺🇸

We want to give a huge thank you to Whirlpool for donating a brand-new clothes washer to our station!

This washer will be used for cleaning uniforms and other daily-use items, and it replaces one that recently broke down and couldn’t be repaired. Having a reliable washer in service is something we depend on every day, and this donation keeps things running smoothly for our crew.

We truly appreciate the support—partners like Whirlpool make a real difference for our department and our community.

Thank you again!
