📚 Celebrating Family Literacy Week 📖

This year’s theme, “Reading Journey from Basecamp to Summit,” is inspired by our AAC logo, where the mountains represent adventure and growth, and the open book and pencil symbolize literacy and learning. ✏️

🔬💧 Discovery Day! ☁️🌧️

Our students became scientists for the day as they explored the water cycle and learned how clouds hold and release water!

Using shaving cream and food coloring, they created their own “rain clouds” and watched as the colors traveled down like rain. 🌈💧

This hands-on experiment encouraged students to make predictions, observe cause and effect, and most importantly have fun while thinking like scientists! 🧪✨

Thank you, Dr. Sandoval, for welcoming us to be part of Rise & Shine today and for giving us the opportunity to support extended recess!

Students had an amazing time staying active, connecting with friends, and enjoying a variety of activities from playground fun, basketball and soccer to cup stacking, hula hoops, jump ropes, chalk art, and more! 🏀⚽️🎨

Today, our Club members took time to learn more about September 11 and reflect on the courage and service shown by first responders and community heroes.

As a small gesture of appreciation, our members created Thank You cards for our local deputies and firefighters. We also dropped off snacks to let them know how much we appreciate all they do for our community. ❤️🇺🇸

We are proud to help our young people learn the importance of remembering, showing gratitude, and giving back to those who serve.

This past Friday, our team participated in DJ training at Hudson, and we’re excited to bring this exciting new program to Lassalette Elementary! 🙌

Our 5th-grade students will have the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of DJing, explore their creativity, and develop a brand-new skill through music. 🎵🎛️

We can’t wait to see our future DJs take the stage! 🎧✨

Recently, students at Lassalette had fun exploring science through a colorful liquid-density experiment! 🧪✨

Students observed how different liquids separated into layers instead of mixing, creating a fun and engaging way to learn about density and the properties of matter. 👩‍🔬👨‍🔬
