Thank you to everyone who visited the library. We love seeing familiar faces throughout the month and welcoming new ones through our doors. 🫶

Kick Off Summer Reading With Us! ☀️

All ages are invited to join us, Monday June 1st from 6:00 PM–7:30 PM, for our FREE Incredible Summer Kickoff event, sponsored by LyondellBasell.

Enjoy a snow cone and take part in a fun volcano STEM activity, plus watch a live performance from Incredible Events, brought to you from the Friends of the La Porte Public Library.

We’re excited to team up with the City of La Porte and La Porte’s Historic Colored School for a collaborative community art project as we create a large-scale Juneteenth flag collage together 🎨

✨ Finished artwork will be displayed at the Historic Colored School throughout the summer beginning June 20

We celebrated National Poetry Month, hosted Easter egg hunts, got out into the community through outreach, and even took a special senior bus trip, all adding up to a month that kept things lively from start to finish.
