A huge thank you to Integrity Landscaping for cleaning up Fairmount Cemetery so quickly. All trees and limbs have been removed, so it is safe for the public to get back out there to visit their loved ones' graves. Despite a multitude of fallen trees, not a single headstone was damaged. Wonderful news!

Unfortunately, Fairmount Cemetery on Michigan Road did not fare well after yesterday's storms. Several trees from an adjacent property fell into the cemetery. At this point, although some headstones were directly hit, it does not appear that any headstones were knocked over or broken. Cleanup will begin as soon as possible.

To North Township residents: It has come to my attention that a news article on WSBT references a pending lawsuit involving North Township. Please be advised that North Township is not presently involved in any pending litigation.

Over the course of several meetings and discussions this year, many citizens expressed concern over being kept up-to-date when they do not have a social media account. While the Township will continue to post periodically, please be advised that a website has been built for Township business, where the community will be able to view upcoming meetings for both the Township and Territory Boards, as well as view approved meeting minutes and other services available. The website is https://northtownship.org/

While FaceBook is a convenient location, posting the approved minutes was not terribly friendly since only images can be uploaded instead of .pdf documents. The hope is that this will be a method for the community that anyone with internet access will be able to view. The Township will continue to advertise with The Pilot News and WTCA.

This post will remain pinned so that people have a convenient spot to navigate to the website.
