In just a little over one week, members of our BGHS Class of '74 50th Reunion Pop-up Event alumni will be gathering at Coach's Mediterranean Grill in Huntington Beach, CA! We are encouraging all alumni planning to attend our September 21st gathering to wear their favorite Hawaiian/California Beach attire, and to bring their cherished memories & stories to share, laugh & celebrate our time together! To All Bell Gardens High School Alumni: As many of you know, the Class of 1974 is busily preparing for our 50th HS graduation reunion. Date and time are still pending as we search for and secure a great venue with a low cost. All classes will be invited! Please be patient with us during this process!
The purpose of this post is to ask for you to help us. We want to share as much info about former alumni (all years)who have passed away. We have some names, but would like to gather as many as we can so we can properly honor them at the reunion. Please share with us anyone you know of who is no longer with us, even if you think we might already have that info. Please include their class year and date/year they passed, if you know it. Dear BGHS Class of ‘74 Alumni & Friends-

It is with a heavy heart & deep sorrow that we share the news that our wonderful dear friend & Class of ‘74 alumni, Jackie Wortham Shoemaker, died on Monday, January 15, 2024, following an accidental fall returning to the ship while on a cruise vacation to Cozumel Mexico. Jackie’s sister, Jowanda, and a couple of their close friends were with Jackie at the time of the accident. Today is Jackie’s birthday, so please keep Jackie’s mom Marion, her son Ryan, grandson Re*****on & great-granddaughter Emi, her sisters Janet and Jowanda and brother Jeff and their families in your thoughts & prayers during their time of immeasurable loss. For those wishing to do so, Jackie’s friends & former classmates are encouraged to post & share special memories and photos of Jackie on here on our 2024 BGHS Reunion of a Lifetime FB page.
