The City of La Habra Heights has been conducting Strategic Planning Workshops to evaluate roads, public safety, Fire Department services, and long-term infrastructure needs.

Through these discussions, it’s become clear that maintaining current service levels will require additional, sustainable funding. Without new revenue, the City may face difficult decisions impacting services, infrastructure, and public safety.

If alternative funding sources cannot be identified, the City Council may consider placing a tax measure on a future ballot for voter approval to help maintain essential services and address critical infrastructure needs. Any decision would be made after careful consideration.

Final Workshop:
Saturday, February 21
10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Community input is critical in shaping the path forward. We encourage residents to attend and stay involved.

Happy 4th of July! Independence Day is a time for celebration, but in La Habra Heights, all fireworks including those labeled as "safe and sane" ie: sparklers, smoke balls, and ground spinning fireworks are prohibited. Due to the high fire risk and the rural nature of our community, it is against the law to light, sell, or possess fireworks within the city limit.

LA County Sheriff and La Habra Heights Fire will have extra patrols throughout the city on July 4th and may confiscate fireworks and issue citations to those in violation. Additionally, there is no parking allowed within the city for fireworks viewing. Please avoid stopping or blocking roadways, as this could delay emergency responders in case of an urgent situation.

Let's work together to protect our community by celebrating responsibly and without fireworks.

Fireworks and Parking Violation Reporting is Available today from 5PM to 12AM.
To Report illegal fireworks or parking, call 562-694-6302 (ext. 0) or use the Fireworks and Parking Violation Reporting Form for faster service.
