La Grange is nestled along the Colorado River and features history, beauty, festivals, museums, concerts, antiques, air shows, feasts, and an annual county country fair. The streets of La Grange were laid out several years before the organization of Fayette County in 1837. First populated by Austin's colonists - "The Original Three Hundred", then followed by German immigrants in the 1840's and Cze

ch and Moravians in the 1850's, the cultures of these pioneers are evident today and have been proudly passed through generations.

Out of an abundance of caution, and for the safety of the public, our Parks Department has temporarily closed access to White Rock Park on Mode Lane. After the recent heavy rains, sections of the road are currently under water. Staff will monitor the situation and re-open the park if and when the waters have safely receded. Thank you for your understanding.
