UPDATE: The Agreed Order has been signed, and Oldham County election staff is in the process of moving back the 211 affected voters to Oldham County for the 2026 General Election on November 3rd.

Jefferson/Oldham/Bullitt County Line issue update:

An Agreed Order was filed in Franklin County Circuit Court on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, which states “All voters who registration has been transferred from Oldham or Bullitt county to Jefferson County as part of the GIS-based boundary review process referenced in the Complaint shall be restored, without requiring the voter to take any additional step, to the county in which they were registered immediately before that process began, effective for the November 2, 2026, General Election and continuing during the pendency of this action. This restoration shall have the legal effect of entitling the voter to be registered in the county to which they are restored and the restored registrations shall not be deemed to be materially false, fictitious, or fraudulent under the laws of the Commonwealth. This Order is a temporary measure entered solely for the duration of this litigation and does not constitute a final determination of any voter’s county of residence, a final resolution of the underlying boundary disputes, or a final determination of the Parties’ respective rights and obligations under Kentucky law”.

The agreement calls for the case to be paused until the legislative session concludes. In the meantime, Speaker Osborne and President Stivers will put together a working group that will look at these issues and come up with a way to handle them in a better way across the state as this just doesn’t affect the three counties mentioned in the agreed order.

UPDATE: WE ARE CURRENTLY BACK UP AND RUNNING! 3:06PM

The KAVIS system used to renew and title vehicles is currently down STATEWIDE, with no ETA on a fix. I ask that you please call the office before coming in to title or renew your vehicles.

Updates will be provided as received by the state.

A Kentucky Constitutional Amendment will appear on the ballot in November. I encourage voters to read and familiarize themselves with the proposed amendment prior to voting in the General Election. It is important for voters to be able to make an informed decision when voting.

Myself, my staff and my election poll workers are not permitted to explain, assist with understanding or give any guidance pertaining to the proposed amendment to a voter. It is a voter’s responsibility to familiarize themselves with the amendment.

Attention Oldham County voters that had their registrations recently moved to Jefferson County. Please attend this town hall meeting for updates on the recently filed legal proceedings, speak your concerns on this issue. We want and need your feedback from you, the voter, to make sure we are not overlooking any issue (schools, road clearing, deeds, etc..) that we may not have thought of. Our office has spoken to many of you, and we understand your concerns and feel your frustration. While this is a meeting hosted by Jefferson County Clerk's office, I will also be in attendance and hope to see you there.
