Parasite Patrol Plus FAMACHA, a hands-on educational workshop hosted by the University of Wisconsin–Madison Division of Extension Topics for this event include:
Understanding Parasite Life Cycle: Participants will learn how internal parasites develop and spread, providing the foundation for effective prevention.
Management Strategies for Parasite Control: Educators will discuss grazing management, targeted selective treatment, and other best practices for reducing parasite pressure.
F***l Egg Count (FEC) Training: Attendees will discover how to use f***l egg counts as a herd health tool. Participants are encouraged to bring a f***l sample from their flock or herd for on-site examination.
Registration for the event is $30 without the FAMACHA training and $60 with the FAMACHA training. All participants have the option to take home McMaster slide for at-home f***l egg counts. The Green Lake Plein Air Festival invites artists to spend the day painting outdoors throughout downtown Green Lake and its scenic parks. From historic buildings and charming storefronts to gardens, restaurants, and stunning lake views, this event celebrates the beauty and character of our community through art created on location.
Hosted as part of the 2026 Connecting Entrepreneurial Communities (CEC) Conference, the festival will bring visitors from across the region to Green Lake. Conference attendees and community members alike are encouraged to watch artists at work and enjoy an evening exhibition and public sale of completed paintings.

Western is pleased to welcome both students and community members to this year’s Student Run Help Desk.

From March 27 through April 17, our student technicians will offer free technology support, including assistance with software questions, hardware issues, and general troubleshooting. The Help Desk provides hands‑on experience for students while offering a valuable service to the wider La Crosse community.

Service Hours: Fridays, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. (walk‑ins and appointments welcome)
Location: Wanek Center of Innovation, Room 205, 744 Badger Street, La Crosse
Parking: Community members may park for free in Lot H or designated visitor spaces during Help Desk hours.
