There’s something about childcare that people don’t always see.

It’s not just the work.

It’s the mental load.

Your brain never turns off.

You’re always thinking three steps ahead.

Who needs a diaper.
Who didn’t eat much.
Who looks like they’re getting sick.
Who needs help learning to share.
Who is about to climb something they shouldn’t.

You’re watching everything at once.

And while you’re doing all that, you’re also cooking, cleaning, teaching, comforting, redirecting, and trying to keep the peace between tiny humans who all need something at the same time.

It’s a lot.

And some days it feels like no matter how hard you try, you’re still wondering if you did enough.

But here’s the truth.

If the children in your care feel safe, loved, and happy to come back the next day… you’re doing better than you think.

Childcare isn’t easy.

But the heart behind it is something really special. 💜
