Today is International Overdose Awareness Day.

For 25 years, this day has reminded us that every life lost to overdose matters, and every loss is felt by families, friends, and communities.

Overdose is preventable. When people have access to support, information, and lifesaving tools, we can reduce harm and save lives. La Crosse County remains committed to sharing resources, learning together, and acting with compassion.

We remember those we’ve lost. We support those who are grieving. And we continue working toward a future where this day is no longer needed.
