Thank you for everyone who took the time to write my name in for school board....there are over 9000 write in votes so it may not be announced who the 3rd person on the school board right away. If I don't make it this time I will try again for next year. This squeaky wheel isn't done yet.

Tomorrow there is a question and answer session at Hintgen elementary School and I was asked to take part in it. It's from 6-7 and I will definitely be there. Hoping to hear more of what the board plans to do with the schools.

What's my experience with La Crosse school district?
***I Attended school grades k-12 here

***PTO member for 10 years
(Roosevelt and Northside elementary schools)

***District wide parent representative for Northside elementary

***Facilities Advisory Committee

But most importantly, I have 2 children in school in the district and feel that like most parents I want the best learning environment for not just them , BUT FOR ALL STUDENTS. I want to be the voice for the parents who feel invisible or are too quiet to advocate for their kids. I also want to be a voice for the teachers and staff on the front lines of the schools who sometimes can't speak up. We can't afford to lose any more teachers to other districts because they aren't getting enough support from the school board. Let me be that voice.

Hello everyone....I'm asking for your vote as a write in candidate for the school board. I was a member of the facilities advisory committee, I was one of the few who didn't want to close Northwoods and Hintgen, but felt that Emerson and Spence were better to be consolidated. I also think at this point we should hold off on any more referendums . The taxpayers need a break. I truly believe our students and staff deserve the best we can give them and I want to see how we can achieve that without our property taxes going up more. Please consider writing my name in, on April 2nd election day. Thanks.

Well it's official, I did not get enough votes to be on the school board. Congratulations to Deb Suchla, Scott Neumister, Trevor Sprague, and Jeff Jackson. Sending you guys good vibes as you move our school board in a positive direction. Thank you to everyone who encouraged and believed I could do this. I appreciate all of your kind words and positive vibes. At least I tried to be the change I wanted to see.

Well tomorrow is election day. I'm nervous about the outcome and pray that I get the chance to improve our school board. I also pray for the wisdom to lead carefully and thoughtfully. I can't promise that I will bat 1000 each pitch thrown at me, but I CAN promise that I will do the very best of my abilities to make the choices that are right for our students, families, teachers and support staff. Thanks for your support.
