🚧 Road Closure Notice 🚧

CVWD crews have completed the replacement of the old 6-inch water main with new 8-inch water main on the 2800 block of Fairway Ave and the 2400-2500 blocks of Teasley Ave.

Final paving is scheduled from Tuesday, September 8, 2026, through September 10, 2026, and will require temporary road closures that may impact through traffic.

🕘 September 8 - September 10 | 7 a.m.–4 p.m.
📍 2800 block of Fairway Ave and 2400-2500 blocks of Teasley Ave

Residents may experience noise, dust, and construction equipment during work hours. No interruption of water service is anticipated.

This project supports CVWD’s mission of providing reliable, high-quality water and wastewater services to the Crescenta Valley community.

Starting in 2027, California’s AB 1572 will prohibit the use of drinking (potable) water to irrigate nonfunctional turf at certain commercial, institutional, government, and HOA properties. Single-family residential lawns are exempt.

• 2028 — Commercial, industrial & institutional properties
• 2029 — HOAs & community common areas

💧 Water 101: If pipelines are the "backbone" of your water system, valves are the "joints." 💧

CVWD's operations team has worked over the last week to replace three critical, large-diameter valves along Foothill Blvd and Briggs Ave.

A final water shutdown, noticed last week, is planned for tomorrow, August 18, impacting residents, businesses, and pedestrians along the following blocks:

✔ 2400 block of Foothill Blvd
✔ 2400-2500 blocks of Mary St
✔ 4400 block of Sunset St

Valve maintenance help provide safe, reliable water service 24/7, especially during emergencies. Thank you for your patience as we complete this important work for the community!
