VIRGINIA "GINGER" MAE HANSEN
May 30, 1931 ~ March 22, 2018

A Life Celebration will be held on June 2, 2018 at the Grange in La Center, WA from 1-3pm. All are welcome and we would be pleased to have you attend.
Donations in the memory of Virginia Hansen can be made to La Center library at fvrlfoundation.org.
Virginia is survived by her children Peter (Patti) and Barbara Harrington; her nieces and nephews Peggy Jo and Jim (Barbara) Hansen, Linda, Don (Toni) and Glen (Sylvia) Kaptonovich and her grandchildren Gabrielle Harrington, Rori (Jessie) Jones, Tyson (Tanya) Knigge, Kandis (Dallas) McEllrath and many great grandchildren.
Virginia was born and lived in Camas, WA, with her brothers Joe and Ben and sisters Amy, Lorene and Peggy.
She attended Clark College and graduated from Oregon State University. She began her teaching career in California and in the early 1960's moved to the farm in Ridgefield, WA and continued teaching eventually retiring from Ridgefield High School. After retiring she moved to La Center and was very active volunteering her time with the La Center Library and Ridgefield Plank house to name a few. She enjoyed participating in garden, bunco and friendship clubs. Virginia was a farm girl at heart and loved to be with her family, help her friends, take care of her animals, garden, and bake. When visiting, you most often left with food or a plant. She was a Mother and role model to many and a Friend to all.

We are so lucky to have such great Sponsors & Volunteers. These are the ones that keep the oldest Grange in the State of Washington open. Please support our local heroes, the next few weeks we will be honoring them for all their help. Thank you Sponsors & Grange Volunteers for a great 2017 !

Come meet our new La Center friends ! Holy Angels will begin to hold Sunday services starting 10/22 at 10:00 am at the La Center Grange . We welcome them to our town

Lifelong La Center resident Stewart Osborn was tragically killed this past week in a logging accident. Please say prayers for this family. His service will be held on Sunday March 19th at noon at La Center High School 725 Highland Road La Center Wa 98629. If you are planning to attend please dress casually they way Stewart would have liked. Refreshments will be served.
