What a fantastic time we had for Business Day! It was a great way to close out this program before graduation.

A very special thank you to Lillie Bell Rentz at Airglades International Airport for a wonderful presentation and a delicious breakfast spread! Our group had a new interest sparked in the world of aviation and is excited to see the growth that is soon to come to Hendry County.

Another special thank you to Kirk Matthew Rentz II at Riverside Real Estate, Inc. We appreciate all the great insight you provided about your journey through law and realty. Thank you for encouraging our group to work hard towards the things they want in life.

It's a bittersweet feeling to have finished our last session yesterday, but we wouldn't have wanted it to have gone any other way. We greatly appreciate the participation of business leaders that love and continuously support Hendry County and it's future business leaders!

A fundamental part of the Youth Leadership Hendry & Glades Program is sowing into our future leaders. This year we will be offering two outstanding students with a $1,000 scholarship toward furthering their education.

Applications are now open to all Hendry & Glades County high school seniors!! All applications must be in by April 1, 2022 and submitted via email to [email protected].

Water & Environment Day was one for the books, we had a fantastic time!!

A special thank you to our speaker, Paul N. Gray, Ph.D., the Science Coordinator at the Everglades Restoration Program. We appreciate you coming out and spreading awareness of the water & environment problems we face and how we can make a difference in doing our part.

Additionally, a special thank you to Bill Tillett, the Florida 4-H Camp Cloverleaf Resident Director/Shooting Sports Coordinator, for leading some awesome group exercises. We appreciate you coming out to lifeguard our group too, it was a huge help!

Lastly, special thank you to Fisheating Creek for allowing the Youth Leadership Hendry & Glades Counties participants to come out! We enjoyed getting out on the water and doing our best to collect any garbage we could find.

Youth Leadership 2021 day one!!

What can we say other than we are so excited to move forward with our new participants!? This group is going to be a whole lot of fun, and we are excited to see how they will grow through the Youth Leadership Hendry & Glades program.

A HUGE thank you to the returning class and their guests for coming out to honor them after their class's program was cut short. We wish you all the very best and can't wait to see the great leaders you'll continue to become in our communities.
