⚠️ PUBLIC SAFETY NOTICE –
POWER OUTAGE ⚠️

The Luzerne Township Volunteer Fire Company is aware of the ongoing power outage affecting our entire community. Please keep the following safety reminders in mind:

🔹 Treat all downed power lines as energized and stay well away from them. Report them immediately to 911 and your utility provider.

🔹 If using a generator, operate it outdoors only and away from windows, doors, and vents to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning.

🔹 Use flashlights instead of candles whenever possible to reduce the risk of fire.

🔹 Check on elderly neighbors, family members, and those with medical needs.

🔹 If an intersection’s traffic signals are out, treat it as a four-way stop.

🔹 Keep refrigerator and freezer doors closed as much as possible to preserve food.

🔹 If you experience an emergency, call 911 immediately.

Our volunteers remain ready to respond to emergencies throughout the outage. Please stay safe, stay informed, and use caution until power is restored.

WE DO NOT KNOW WHEN ELECTRICITY WILL BE RESTORED!! Parts of the Tri county area is without!!
