Hendry County Public Safety (EMS) is a Florida rural municipal, Advanced Life Support (ALS) 911 response and transport service. We are strongly committed to providing quality prehospital medical care to the citizens and visitors of our community. Hendry County Public Safety covers 1,190 square miles with 5 ALS Ambulances. mprove the health status of the citizens and visitors in Hendry County, Florida. This will be accomplished by:



1. Providing the highest quality primary emergency care in a personalized manner with a dedicated health care team.

2. Meeting or exceeding customer expectations and addressing the needs of our patients and their families.

3. Holding each other accountable for the continued improvement in overall emergency care delivery.

In Memory of Assistant Chief Jeff Edwards

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Assistant Chief Jeff Edwards, who dedicated 30 years of honorable service to the fire department. His leadership, courage, and unwavering commitment to protecting our community left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege to serve alongside him.

Jeff was more than a firefighter—he was a mentor, a friend, and a true example of integrity and selflessness. His legacy will live on in the hearts of his family, colleagues, and the countless lives he touched throughout his career.

Rest in peace, Asst. Chief Edwards. Your service will never be forgotten.
