REMEMBERING FALLEN FWC OFFICER JULIAN KEEN

Hendry County Sheriff Steve Whidden and the Hendry County Sheriff's Office honor and remember Fallen FWC Officer Julian Keen.

FWC Officer Keen was a vital and irreplaceable part of the community he grew up in; from mentoring our youth to upholding the law with integrity, Officer Keen was always there to lend a hand.

On June 14th, we pause to reflect on the day tragedy struck, and we lost a pillar of our community. Six years have passed, but his legacy of service, compassion, and dedication continues to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Rest in Eternal Peace, Officer Keen. Your impact will never be forgotten.

We did warn you we’d be leaning into the donut theme today… and this is the last one, we promise!

But this message is important:
Donut fall for scams!

Scammers are getting smarter, friendlier, and more creative—whether it’s over the phone, online, through text, or even in person. They try to win your trust so you’ll hand over personal information, money, or access to your accounts.

This bulletin highlights what to watch for:
• Too‑good‑to‑be‑true deals
• Requests for personal information
• Pressure to act fast
• Strange payment methods
• Someone pretending to be an official

A few simple steps can protect you:
• Guard your information
• Verify before you trust
• Talk to someone you trust
• Stay informed
• Report suspicious activity

Together, we can keep Hendry County safe—one smart choice at a time.

Stay alert, stay aware… and donut fall for scams!
