Tuesday, April 21 at 1:00 pm there will be a Story Time for preschoolers at the library. We are partnering up with the Baraga County Federal Credit Union to bring this story time to the library. We will be reading the Moneybunny book "How do You Spend" by Cinders McLeod. Come with your little ones to enjoy an informative story! This is suited for children ages 3-6ish.

Spring Break is upon us already! Even though it doesn't look it!
Library Days and hours over Spring Break are as follows:

Mon March 23 Closed
Tue March 24 9-3
Wed March 25 9-3
Thu March 26 9-3
Fri March 27 Closed

Mon March 30 we will resume regular hours.

Well, if you haven't noticed, mother nature is having some fun again! Because she's having "snow" much fun messing around and blowing crazily with the weather, the library will be closed today, Monday, March 16! Stay safe and warm at home to celebrate St. Urho's day!

Well, our nice sunny weather is over, the slush has returned, the roads are getting slick, the school is closed for the safety of the kids because of the icky weather, so... The library is also CLOSED today due to the inclement weather. Stay safe and warm with a good book today at home! Lets hope tomorrow is back to the sunny weather😁

The L'Anse Area School/Public Library will be closed Monday, Feb. 16 for President's Day. We will reopen Tuesday for regular hours.

Library Open House is happening this weekend! On Sunday, February 15, from 1pm-3pm, we will be having an Open House to celebrate "Extraordinary Women of the U.P."!
At the Open House you can read stories of no less than 60 women who made an impact in many areas, including the arts, education, politics, medicine, activism and public services.
Coffee and snacks will be provided. This Open House is free and open to the public. The exhibit "Extraordinary Women of the U.P." will be in the library until March 26 if you are unable to attend the Open House.

Sorry for the late announcement but the library will be closed today due to the closure of school because of the water main break yesterday. We will reopen tomorrow!
