Next Saturday, December 13, 2025 presents a unique operational landscape for the University and the surrounding community.

We are formally advising the public that we will be managing two highly significant, concurrent events: The Kutztown University Fall Commencement Ceremonies and the NCAA Division II Football National Semifinal.

Both events necessitate extensive resource deployment for traffic control, crowd management, and public safety.

We urge all attendees whether celebrating the academic achievements of our KU graduates or supporting the athletic success of our KU Final Four Football team. To exercise patience, and adhere to all posted traffic and parking directives.

We are committed to maintaining a safe and secure environment for all participants. Your cooperation is paramount to ensuring the successful ex*****on of both events.

Thank you for your cooperation. Go KU!

Following the success of our inaugural department challenge coin in 2021, we are thrilled to unveil the highly anticipated 2nd edition! This coin proudly embodies the spirit and heritage of our department and university.

Challenge coins hold a rich history as symbols of respect, appreciation, and camaraderie, particularly within public service organizations. They represent a tangible link to shared values and achievements.

Our department has embraced this tradition, and these coins have been presented to numerous dignitaries visiting our beautiful university, serving as a lasting memento of their time with us at KU.

The front of the 2nd edition coin beautifully showcases the iconic Old Main Tower, a cornerstone of our university's identity, accompanied by our beloved motto, "It's Good To Be Golden." This side truly encapsulates the heart of our institution.

Turning the coin over, you'll find a detailed rendering of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, complete with all its counties. Our KUPD patch is prominently displayed over Berks County, signifying our deep roots and unwavering commitment to the community we serve.

Observing it all is the University's Golden Bear, a powerful symbol of Kutztown University's welcoming embrace to all who walk through its doors.

We will continue to honor our department and university legacy.

“It’s Good to Be Golden”.
