Since this week is Drinking Water Week, I’d like to take the opportunity to say “thank you” to all of the unsung heroes who help bring clean drinking water straight to our homes. Without the dedication of these amazing professionals we wouldn’t have nearly the standard of living that we enjoy. If you know a water or wastewater professional, reach out and give them a “thank you” this week for the crucial role they play in our modern society.

WE ARE ONCE AGAIN REITERATING

- Please ensure that your meter lid is securely on your meter box in your yard.

- Please double check that you have disconnected ALL hoses from outsides hydrants.

- Please close any foundation vents and crawl space entrances on your homes foundation.

- Seal off any cracks or crevices that can allow the cutting, cold wind into your crawlspace.

- Insulate or heat tape any pipes that could be exposed to cold, drafty air and wind.

- Turn off water to your home if you won’t be there during this weather event.

Following these simple, last minute tips can avoid putting any unnecessary strain on your water supply during this event.
Remember: as road conditions deteriorate there is a chance that we will be unable to access your property to fix the issue. This means that an ounce of prevention now is worth a pound of cure later.
