City of Krugerville

City of Krugerville A page for citizens and visitors alike to learn about the happenings in the City of Krugerville, TX. L. H. As L.H. Kruger’s original plan.

History of Krugerville
In 1964, after several years of building houses in the Denton area, Mr. Kruger purchased 328 acres right off of Hwy 377, just south of Aubrey. His plan was to improve the mostly wooded area, and build houses on 1-acre lots. put his plan into motion, the development quickly became a community. Families who were seeking the quiet country life realized the beauty of the area an

d the community grew as word spread. The original water system, Kruger Waterworks, was expanded twice to keep up with the booming growth. The community of Krugerville officially incorporated to form the City of Krugerville in 1973. Since then, it has expanded well beyond L.H. Krugerville has grown into one of the most beautiful communities in the area, offering a perfect blend between the classic older neighborhood, affectionately know as “Old Krugerville” and new home sites, including “The Woodlands” and “Fairview Farms,” which feature over-sized lots with beautiful trees. The “ol’timers” still recognize the place, since so much of the original look-and-feel still exists. In fact, you can still see L.H. Kruger and his wife Willie Mae out and about in “Old Krugerville.” A lot of improvements have taken place since his time as Mayor back in the early 1970’s, but L.H. still enjoys the beauty that initially drew him to this area over 40 years ago. The City is growing now as quickly as it was when L.H. started building the first houses. Families today are still recognizing the beauty of the area, the community full of caring people and the peaceful rural setting. The City also
offers an exceptional school system, low taxes, safe neighborhoods and convenient access to the larger surrounding cities. Since the very beginning the City Council has, and still strives to retain the rural atmosphere while constantly working to enhance the City’s quality and the residents’ way of life.

If your bulk trash(or your neighbor's)has not been picked up, please either comment below with your address or send us a DM. Republic tells us a truck has been out, but we are not seeing that they have picked up the bulk items.

11/10/2025

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by our trash provider missing bulk pick up on Saturday. They have assured us that a truck will come out tomorrow to pick up bulk items. We are working with them on scheduling another bulk pick up day in the future. That being said, you can put up to one cubic yard of bulk trash out(about the size of a dishwasher)on any regular trash day.
