We want to send out a friendly reminder to please contain your pets. We understand that when there is an emergency and you have to call 911 for assistance you may not be able to contain your animals on your own, In this case please advise dispatch if you have animals especially if they are aggressive or protective.

While providing patient care on scene of a medical call, one of our personnel was attacked by a dog resulting in injuries needing sutures.

Friendly or not, during these stressful times, even the nicest animals can react especially when it involves their owners. Please help us keep our personnel safe so we can provide the best care for you when you need our services.

On 06/25/26, at approximately 1:47pm, Kooskia Ambulance, Kooskia Ambulance Rescue Unit and Kooskia Fire Department were dispatched to mile post 133 on Highway 12 for a vehicle accident.

The single occupant of the vehicle was evaluated and transported by Kooskia Ambulance.

Kooskia Fire Department, Stites Fire Department, Idaho Department of Lands and Kooskia Ambulance are currently responding to a fire near Harris Ridge Road and Highway 12. Avoid the area

On 06/17/2026, at approximately 11:06am Kooskia Ambulance, Kooskia Ambulance Rescue Unit ,Kooskia Fire Department and Clearwater QRU were dispatched to mile post 17 on Highway 13 for a reported motorcycle accident.

The operator of the motorcycle was evaluated on scene by Kooskia Ambulance and released.

🚨 TRAFFIC ALERT 🚨

All lanes of US-12 at milepost 113 remain closed following a crash involving a vehicle and three motorcycles.

The highway has been closed since approximately 4 p.m. and is likely to remain closed for several hours.
