The 24hr Adopt-a-Thon is today at the Kokomo Humane Society! They open their doors at 4pm today and will remain open until 4pm on Saturday! If you have been thinking of adopting, today is the day!

Our 24-Hour Adopt-a-Thon starts TODAY! 🐶🐱

‼️A quick reminder: We will not open at 12 PM today. Instead, we’ll open our doors at 4:00 PM and stay open continuously until Saturday at 4:00 PM!

Right now, our shelter is at 115% capacity for dogs, and this event is a huge opportunity to help us Clear the Shelter and make space for the animals who need us next. 🐾❤️

Check out our schedule of adoption specials happening throughout the event. Every hour brings a new way to save and find your perfect match!

Whether you’re ready to adopt, looking for a new family member, or just want to come meet our amazing animals, we can’t wait to see you!

For this week's Pet of the Week, we look at some of our long-term residents at the Kokomo Humane Society. Meet Cyrus, Freedom, Morty and Dottie. These amazing dogs have all been at the shelter for months and all deserve great homes. Seeing the sheer joy from Cyrus as he plops down in your lap, Dottie chasing a tennis ball or Freedom and Morty luxuriating in loving pets and attention cannot help but bring a smile to your face.
