THINGS TO DO!
Kids Safety Day
Bring the whole family to Foster Park on Sun., June 22, to experience Kids Safety Day. Organized by Kokomo Firefighters Local 396, this event will run from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m., featuring a raffle for a boys’ and girls’ bicycle, free bicycle helmets while supplies last, face painting, and more. Explore emergency vehicles. Experience the Kokomo Fire Department’s Smoke House. And take the Junior Firefighter Challenge. This event takes place through a partnership with Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital, Ascension St. Vincent, StatFlight, Indiana Heartland Federal Credit Union, and the City of Kokomo.
Library Carnival
Step right up to the Kokomo Howard County Public Library, 220 N. Union St., On Mon., June 23, for an afternoon of fun, games, and tasty popcorn! From 11 a.m. until 3 p.m., no tickets will be needed to play every game at the most magical library around. This program is designed for children ages 3-13.
Sharpie Art at the Greentown Library
Throughout June, the Greentown Public Library, 421 S. Harrison St., will hold special programming each Monday from 2-3 p.m. On Mon., June 23, discover the art of Sharpie creations. Learn to use Sharpie markers and alcohol to design unique, one-of-a-kind accessories.
Art Therapy for Adults
Brooke Komar, a board-certified art therapist and licensed mental health counselor, teaches to channel emotions into the art-making process. On Mon., June 23, from 6-7 p.m. at the Kokomo Howard County Public Library, 220 N. Union St., participants will explore life edits. Card Creators
Stay connected with friends and family with a handmade card that shows you care. On Tue., June 24, from 9:30-11:30 a.m. and from 5-6 p.m., at the Kokomo Howard County Public Library’s south branch, 1755 E. World Art Wednesday

This week, participants will explore African Kente prints and patterns. This event is designed for children ages 8-13.
