We are a Recycling District located in Central Indiana. We accept materials from Howard County & City of Kokomo Residents.

Make sure you dispose of your lithium batteries the correct way! Howard County residents can bring them to our office @4102 Cartwright Dr. in Kokomo. NEVER place them in your trash, curbside recycling totes, or community recycling bins!

Even “dead” rechargeable batteries still hold enough charge to spark fires in garbage trucks.

Good Morning! Happy Monday. Great news this morning, the Greentown recycling drop off site is officially OPEN! Gates are open from 6AM until 10PM everyday. This site is located at 50 S. 900 E. across the road from the Christian Life Fellowship Church. There are 12 recycling bins set up and remember this is for residential recycling such as paper, plastic, glass, metal cans and bottles and small amounts of cardboard that is broken down.
NO construction debris, yard waste, chemicals, electronics, tires or other trash will be acceptable at this location. We do have security cameras up and we will be watching. If you have any questions please feel free to call us at 456-2274 and we will be happy to help!

Green washing is a term that refers to vague marketing meant to trick buyers into choosing products because they think they are good for the environment. Thankfully, in 2024 the Consumer Protection Agency released guidelines to help with consumer confidence. When you can, try to research the product/company to know whether you're being tricked or you're making a good purchase.
