Ready to learn the art and tradition of Alutiiq drum making? Join us in Port Lions for our Alutiiq Drum Making Workshop September 18-19 at the Native Village of Port Lions Tribal Building. Create your own drum while learning about its cultural significance from experienced instructors. This hands-on workshop is a wonderful opportunity to connect with Alutiiq traditions, build new skills, and spend time with community members. We look forward to seeing you there! Quyanaa!

We're looking for an Elder with Afognak genealogy knowledge for our Enrollment Committee. Tribal Members interested in serving must email [email protected] to express your interest by September 14th to be considered.

The committee has primary responsibility for verifying applications for tribal enrollment, recommending Tribal Council action regarding such applications, and insuring the preparation and maintenance of the tribal roll, in accordance with established procedures, the Constitution, and tribal laws and customs.

A stipend is offered for Enrollment Committee Members' services.
