Hancock for State Catch the Vision: Serving Tennesseans With Dignity and Worth Anthony D. Hancock is a Special Education teacher, of nine years with Knox County Schools.

He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology, and teaching certification from the University of Tennessee; and a Masters of Religious Education from Covington Theological Seminary. Anthony is a member of Foster Chapel Baptist Church where he serves as a Deacon, Assistant Superintendent of Sunday School and Chair of the Bereavement Ministry. e to the University Of Tennessee, Knoxville with plans of being a running back, but ended up as a wide receiver. The position change worked well for him as he earned All-SEC honors in 1980 and set the UT bowl record for yards receiving. In addition to his success on the football field, Hancock was an All-American hurdler for the track team. Hancock played five years for the Kansas City Chiefs after being the 11th pick in the 1982 NFL draft. He currently makes his home in Knoxville with his wife of twenty four years and has two daughters and two grandchildren.
