The CAC Office on Aging empowers older adults to live with dignity, purpose, and independence by connecting individuals and caregivers to vital resources, advocating for aging needs, and fostering a supportive, engaged community. The Knoxville-Knox County Office on Aging is under the umbrella of the Community Action Committee (CAC) and is charged with providing services to all older adults regardless of their life situation, but are mandated to concentrate on those for whom aging presents the greatest hardship: women, people of diverse races and cultures, people in frail health, and people on very low fixed incomes.

The Knox CAC Office on Aging's Information and Benefits department can help you complete a Savings Check Up which is an easy way for Medicare beneficiaries to find out if they may be eligible for money saving benefits.

UPDATE: Leroy Walker, the subject of a , has been found safe in Campbell County.

: We need your help to find Leroy Walker, who is missing from Knoxville.

The 78-year-old is 6' tall, 160 lbs., with gray hair and blue eyes, last seen Friday wearing a red plaid shirt and dark jeans.

Walker was last seen in the area of Chapman Highway and may be driving this 2010 Acura MDX with TN tag BSH-1972. (Note the distinguishing damage and stickers.) He has a medical condition that may impair his ability to return safely without assistance.
