Introducing CES’s STEAM Bean and we have the cutest little baristas around! ☕️🥤

One of our classes has opened a coffee and dirty soda cart, giving students a fun opportunity to learn, grow, and showcase their unique talents. We’re so proud of our students and grateful for the staff members who encourage them every step of the way!

Our 4th graders had the opportunity to take a virtual field trip with the Tennessee State Museum! 🎥✨

Students got an up-close look at tools and everyday items used in the early 1800s, helping bring history to life right before their eyes!

This experience also connects directly to our Wit & Wisdom curriculum, as students learn about Clara Barton and what she may have encountered while caring for soldiers on the battlefield. ❤️‍🩹🇺🇸

Our 5th graders had an exciting in-school field trip with AMSE last Thursday to learn more about matter!

Students got to explore, observe, and experience science in a hands-on way while learning more about the properties and behaviors of matter. And let’s just say… learning Science is a LOT more fun when you get to see it happen right in front of you!

A huge thank you to AMSE for bringing the fun, curiosity, and hands-on learning straight to our 5th grade classrooms! 🧪

💗 Dolly Day at Claxton! 💗

Today our Cougars filled the halls with pink and Dolly shirts as we celebrated the incredible life and legacy of Dolly Parton! 🦋✨

And while everyone looked great, we have to give a special shoutout to one little Cougar who clearly understood the assignment. 💖 From the big blonde hair and sparkly pink dress to the white boots, she brought full Dolly energy everywhere she went…even answering phones, visiting our SRO, helping with a little cleaning, and apparently taking over the school for the day!

We loved seeing our students and staff come together to honor a Tennessee icon whose kindness, generosity, love of reading, and commitment to children have made such an incredible impact. 💕

As Dolly says, “Find out who you are and do it on purpose.” Today, we definitely did it with a little extra sparkle! ✨🦋
