Friday, August 29th- Smoky Mountain Process And Legal Services and Smoky Mountain Offender Tracking had the privilege of sponsoring the luncheon for the Smoky Mountain Paralegal Association Annual Seminar held at Blount Mansion- the 1st Governor's House of Tennessee!!
Taco and Fajita Bar for Lunch with Lemon Cookies for desert were enjoyed by all and I was graciously afforded the opportunity to speak about both companies and the Tennessee Debbie and Marie Domestic Violence Prevention Act .. as always we appreciate the opportunity to support our paralegal community and give back to those who do so much for us!

I had the honor and privilege of officiating the marriage of the cutest couple yesterday.. All of my couples and weddings are special.. but I believe this one will stick with me forever .. a lot of times I see young folks happy but focused on the ceremony and everything being just so.. but these two were so in love, focused on eachother and their family..so much kindness and love shown by everyone there.. Im not sure who said it first.. but instead of Congratulations.. both families welcomed the other to the family.... it was beautifully simple and elegant not because it was showy but because there was so much love you could feel it.
We were on their future home place near the Blount Knox County line that they're building from the ground up!
Y'all- I thought right then and there this is what family and East Tennessee is all about.. a young couple starting with a little more than a piece of land that one day they'll be able to tell their babies and grandbabies this land is where your Momma and Daddy started this family.. on this hillside in the country joined by their truly lovely family..
Sidney's folks hail from the Shennandoah Valley.. so we had lots to talk about.. and Noah and his family have all served our community.. and so please join me and Candice in Congratulating the Wilsons' and in the words of a famous East Tennessean I wish you two joy and happiness.. but above all of this.. I wish you love!!

Focus on your CHILD instead of your ex & your emotions about your ex.

If you spend your time thinking about your ex, what he / she is doing, or what he / she has done to you, that means you can’t focus on your child’s best interest. Letting your negative emotions about your ex drive your decisions could lead you to making poor decisions.
Take that energy & focus on your child instead. Once you do that and start thinking about what is best, better decisions will follow.

This year as a rising Sophmore at the University of Tennessee,
