The City of Knoxville's Office of Special Events strives to make our community a desired city in which to "Live, Work & Play". This office oversee's the many special events that happen within the City of Knoxville. Our responsibilites include, planning and overseeing a wide array of events and publicity efforts designed to promote various programs and initiatives based upon the Mayor and the City

of Knoxville's mission. This includes public speaking engagements, celebrations, ground breakings, ribbon cuttings and festivals.

Even though the weather wasn't the best, we had no rain from 7:15-9pm and had a great show with Jackson Tribute Band Dancing Machine. Thank you to those who came out in the weather and danced the night away, and thank you to Beck Cultural Exchange Center for partnering with us for the Juneteenth celebration at Concerts on the Square presented by First Century Bank! It was a fun night!

This will still be taking place on Market Square tonight starting at 7pm. Bring an umbrella or rain jacket in the case some rain does fall on us, but just enjoy it and dance in the rain!!

Join us for our Variety Thursday 'Concerts on the Square' presented by First Century Bank, tomorrow June 18 on Market Square. Enjoy free music with Dancing Machine, the Tribute to Jacksons. Enjoy hits from Michael, Janet and Jackson 5! It's going to be a fun show, don't miss it! The show will be from 7pm-9pm.

Thursdays concert will also include a Juneteenth tribute with Beck Cultural Center. Let’s honor Juneteenth together—through the power of music and community!

Bring a chair or blanket and enjoy the free show on the Square

Join us tomorrow, June 17, for some Kid A'Riffic Fun in the Park at Baxter Ave Park & Fire Station #3. We will be partnering with Knoxville Fire Department for some fire safety activities, tours of the fire station and you will get to meet the fire fighters!!

We will also have free crafts and activities and free ice cream with B97.5 along Stewart Street.

Free parking is available along the streets. The event is free and geared towards kid age 2-12, and takes place from 10am-1pm.

Shawn Turner's the lead male vocalist and keyboardist in Pinky Ring, a local professional jazz quintet, and performs classic and modern R&B, Funk, and Soul music.

Bring a chair/blanket, and sit back and enjoy the show on Beautiful Market Square.
