🏃‍♀️🏀 Moving, Learning, and Growing! 🏀🏃‍♂️

May 1-7, we celebrate National Physical Education & Sport Week, recognizing the important role physical education plays in the success and well-being of our students.

Through engaging PE classes, students develop essential motor skills, strengthen personal and social skills, and build lifelong character traits like resilience, fairness, and respect. We are grateful for our outstanding PE teachers who help students stay active, healthy, and confident every day! 💪💙

👉 Tag a PE teacher who makes a difference or drop a 👏 in the comments to thank them for all they do!

Sometimes, success starts with something as simple as being able to see the board.

When a teacher at Westview High School noticed that sophomore Ja’nya Graves was struggling to see in class, she took the time to ask a simple question. That conversation led to a vision screening with our school nurse and Coordinated School Health Director, Bethany Allen — which quickly turned into a referral for an eye exam. There was just one challenge: transportation.

Through Coordinated School Health, a Weakley County Schools van was arranged to ensure Ja’nya could make it to her appointment. A few weeks later, she received her new glasses — and the excitement on her face said it all. Now, she can clearly see the board and fully engage in the classroom each day.
This is how we show up for students — together. 💛
