Congress is trying to back veterans into a corner and take away benefits they already earned through service.

Veterans’ benefits are not handouts and they’re not there to balance the budget.

Tell Congress to back off Veterans earned benefits and Honor the Contract.

VFW Post 3519 has made the difficult decision to close the canteen business operations. At this time, we do not know what the future will hold regarding the canteen space or future operations.

What we do know is this:
VFW Post 3519 is NOT closing.
We repeat: VFW Post 3519 and its Auxiliary are NOT closing.

Our mission continues. We remain committed to supporting veterans, their families, our community, and the programs that make the VFW what it is.

The canteen was only one part of our organization.
We are, and always will be, a Veterans of Foreign Wars Post first.
The VFW is more than a bar. It is veterans helping veterans, community service, remembrance, patriotism, and fellowship.

We appreciate everyone who has supported the canteen over the years and ask for patience and support as we determine the next chapter for Post 3519.
