Catholic Charities is looking for 5 strong, hardworking volunteers to help with a large food distribution event happening next Thursday, September 17 at 10am in Mascot, TN (30 mins outside of downtown Knoxville).

✅ Unload delivery trucks
✅ Break down pallets
✅ Move and organize food supplies

This is a physically demanding opportunity, and volunteers must be able to lift heavy items.

Your help will make a huge impact for families in our community. If you're ready to lend a hand, we'd love to have you join us!

As East Tennessee marks the anniversary of Hurricane Helene's devastating impact, communities across the region are coming together to honor recovery efforts and strengthen disaster preparedness.

This month, Catholic Charities of East Tennessee's Disaster Relief Case Managers will be participating in Disaster Preparedness Day events across six East Tennessee counties. We'd love to see you there!

Every parent deserves support, education, and encouragement during their journey. One participant in our Pregnancy Help Center program recently shared:

"Before anything, I would like to thank all the people who work in the program for accepting me as part of the program, because it has been a great help to me. All the classes have been very interesting, but the ones I remember the most was the Third Trimester Expectations and Labor Expectations, those classes were of great help and gave me information and tips on how to prepare for the birth of my baby, that was very helpful at the time. And as a mother it has helped me to be better in spending quality time with my daughters and to improve how I relate to them, thanks to the information given in the videos."

We are DEEPLY grateful to the lovely organizers of the Knox St. Patrick's Parade for their recent donation of $30,000 towards the programs here at Catholic Charities of East Tennessee!!

When you participate in, sponsor, volunteer or donate to Knox St. Patrick’s Parade, you’re helping support our many programs. Since 2017, they have raised over $200K for our organization. They've also funded scholarships to high school seniors in Knoxville, TN with some of the proceeds as well.

Community partnerships like this are vital to our ability to serve individuals and families in need throughout East Tennessee. Support like this enables us to continue meeting urgent needs while advancing our mission of providing help and creating hope.

Have you or someone you know experienced the pain of a past abortion? Catholic Charities of East TN's Project Rachel program is set to host it's free, annual Rachel’s Vineyard Retreat next month on September 18-20.

Rachel's Vineyard Retreat offers a compassionate, confidential opportunity for healing, hope, and renewal.

This is a unique weekend retreat designed to help men, women, grandparents, or anyone who struggles with the emotional and spiritual effects of abortion. Through guided exercises, reflection, and support, participants are given the opportunity to grieve their loss and find freedom from feelings of anger, shame, guilt, and grief.

This retreat is especially helpful for those seeking to forgive themselves or others and to experience God's mercy, compassion, and healing love. Often described as a "therapy for the soul," Rachel’s Vineyard combines psychological and spiritual healing in a safe and caring environment.
