New data has been posted for 20 indicators on ETindex.org. There is lots of new demographic information from the 2009-2013 American Community Survey as well updated information from the State's 2014 School report card. The complete list of updated indicators can be viewed below:

Not a great result for the Knoxville area in the 2014 Gallup-Healthways Well-Being Index. Knoxville was ranked 98th out of the 100 most populous areas in an annual survey of self-reported well-being. The findings correlate the low scores reported by residents with higher rates of food insecurity, smoking and obesity. Lower rates of satisfaction with daily life and pride in community were also noted.

North Port-Sarasota-Bradenton, Florida, has the highest Well-Being Index score (64.1) across the 100 most populous communities in the U.S., according to the Gallup-Healthways Well-Being Index. Wired magazine posted a story on a unique way of looking at the USDA Cropscape data. In the story, a London-based designer isolates individual crops, landscapes or vegetation to create beautiful maps of the US. Here is an example of how the Livability Report Card and ETindex data can be a conversation starter. WBIR Reporter Becca Habegger used the water quality indicator to develop as starting point to examine some of the causes behind the trend in increasing stream miles being classified as impaired by TDEC.
