✈️🤩 We may have accidentally created 37 future pilots this weekend! 🤩✈️

Knoxville Airport was buzzing as we celebrated Day and gave 37 kids the chance to take to the skies!

A huge thank you to our 6 amazing volunteer pilots who generously donated their airplanes, time, and fuel to make some aviation dreams come true. Special thank you to Domino's Knoxville IA - 711 W Pleasant St, Knoxville, IA for keeping everyone fueled with pizza, and Knoxville Aviation for suppling the donuts (because every great flight starts with Hy-Vee donuts, right? 🍩).

Knoxville’s flight instructors also taught classes on how airplanes fly and what it takes to become a pilot. Judging by the excitement, questions, and giant smiles, we may have inspired a few future captains, mechanics, air traffic controllers, and maybe even an astronaut or two. 🚀

Thank you to everyone who helped make the day a success. The future of aviation is looking pretty bright right here in Knoxville! ✈️💙

And this girl just got promoted to Director of Air Conditioning. 🐶💨

She’s currently conducting extensive fan testing and has determined that standing directly in front of it is the most effective cooling method available.

Knoxville Aviation is looking for an experienced and motivated Aircraft Avionics Technician to join our growing team at our Part 145 Repair Station. We’re expanding our avionics capabilities and looking for someone who wants to help build something awesome with us.

🔧 Experience in aircraft avionics installation, troubleshooting, wiring, and repair preferred
🛠️ Garmin experience is a huge plus
👨‍✈️ Strong leadership and positive attitude wanted

Join us on June 13, 2026, for a hands-on aviation experience designed for youth ages 8–17. Kids will learn the basics of aviation from pilots and aviation professionals, then take to the skies with a FREE Young Eagles flight.
