7,557 votes later, voter turnout more than doubled this year and the student body spoke louder than ever - that is something to celebrate. While the results are not we what had hoped for, we are very proud of the 26 senators who were elected to serve the student body next year, and we know that they will continue to do what is right and dedicate themselves to improving students’ lives, one step at a time. We are also proud of our Student Services Director candidate, Caitlyn McCandless, who will be serving alongside Carson and McKinsey next year. She is the best person for the job, and we are honored that she was a part of this incredible journey with us. Thank you to all of our campaign members, supporters, and senators for your tireless efforts and endless support, we could not have done this without you! Congratulations to the Hollingsworth-Patterson campaign and all others who were elected, and we look forward to seeing the good work that SGA will do next year!
